About the Workplace

Fridegårdsgymnasiet is a calm and safe school that works hard to create a good school culture.

We offer college preparatory programs, vocational programs, AST-adapted programs, introductory programs, and adapted upper secondary school. As a teacher at Fridegårdsgymnasiet, there are good opportunities for professional development in collaboration with the work team and other professionals.

The school is centrally located in Bålsta and has about 550 students.

Your Responsibilities

You will teach natural science and be part of the work team in the Child and Recreation program. We welcome applicants with natural science combined with another subject as needs may change. Mentorship is an obvious and important part of the role with us.

You will be part of a program team with engaged, knowledgeable, and unpretentious colleagues who truly want to make a difference and have good conditions to do a good job. Together with others in the work team, you are expected to develop working methods, approaches, and broaden the pedagogical toolbox in an already strong and well-functioning work team.

Fridegårdsgymnasiet aims to be a school with good relationships and a focus on a positive school culture. In the Child and Recreation program, the work team places great importance on the entire school's educational mission and has a well-developed and close collaboration regarding the students.

There are well-functioning routines for collaboration with the school's student health team. Mentors and teaching staff participate and discuss together with all the professionals in student health about various student matters and pedagogical issues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is qualified to teach natural science at the upper secondary level, preferably in combination with another subject, such as mathematics. You have a teaching license and several years of experience in teaching and mentorship. Experience teaching vocational programs is an additional merit. You possess good and deep subject knowledge and a broad pedagogical toolbox.
