In the local healthcare area of Skellefteå, the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö are included. Together, these aim to provide good and close care.

The Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå is one of the largest clinics in the hospital with approximately 300 employees. The clinic's beds are distributed based on medical and geriatric specialties. The majority of admissions are acute and occur via the emergency department. The outpatient care consists of medicine, geriatrics, and dialysis clinics. Within the medical clinic, there are also day care services and a physiological laboratory. Additionally, there is a research unit within the clinic, which is unique for a county hospital.

We are now looking for nurses for ward 7 at the Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå. Our main focus is on diabetes, kidney diseases, and hematology. At the same time, we have close collaboration within the clinic, which means you may also encounter patients with other diagnoses. We work according to a work schedule model, a modified 3-3 model, which creates good conditions for recovery and balance between work and leisure.

In this role, you will have an important and varied position where you work both independently and together with colleagues from different professional groups. As a nurse with us, you are a key person in the collaboration with the patient and their relatives, where you are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and following up on care, always with the patient's needs and resources in focus.

The position involves work during the day, evening, weekends, and nights.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in the medical and geriatric field at the ward level. It is advantageous if you have experience working in a care ward within these areas or other acute settings.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team, while also being confident in making your own decisions and working independently. You are flexible, attentive, and have an understanding of people's differences and needs. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
