Description

We are now looking for an occupational therapist for our rehabilitation unit as one of our employees is moving on to another assignment.

Within the municipal rehabilitation unit, seven occupational therapists and four physiotherapists work to, using a person-centered approach, help individuals achieve increased independence, participation, and the best possible quality of life based on their own resources and abilities. The mission is to perform rehabilitative measures within the municipality's area of responsibility for people in ordinary housing, special housing for the elderly, short-term housing, as well as group homes and service housing under LSS.

Job Responsibilities

Your work as an occupational therapist with us will primarily focus on home healthcare. Since the workgroup is small, you will also work with other areas of operation. The work includes among other things;

• Assessment and training of ADL ability
• Functional and activity assessment, investigation, advice, and support
• Testing and prescribing aids
• Training of staff
• Collaboration with other healthcare providers
• Guiding and supporting relatives and care staff
• Supervising students
• Writing certificates
• Documentation
• Collaboration in the resource team together with other licensed personnel

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. Experience working in municipal health and medical care and Functional Support (LSS) is an advantage. We value personal qualities such as social competence, flexibility, and a solution-focused attitude. The job requires that you can work independently and have the ability to make assessments and decisions. You also need to be able to plan and organize your workday independently and efficiently.

You are expected to be engaged in moving the business forward and promoting collaboration both internally in the team and with other healthcare providers. We place great importance on personal suitability, good collaboration skills, and the ability to guide and motivate patients and care staff in a rehabilitative approach.

Conditions

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement, and you should have experience driving a car.
