We are looking for a Compliance Officer for Alcohol and Tobacco Supervision.
You will belong to the Unit for Social Sustainability, which works to ensure that national goals for public health, integration, gender equality, and human rights are realized in the county. Our assignments include public health, preventive work against alcohol, drugs, doping, and tobacco, alcohol and tobacco supervision, crime prevention work, parenting support, early interventions during the asylum period, reception of newcomers and unaccompanied children, homelessness, gender equality, men's violence against women, violence in close relationships, human trafficking and prostitution, honor-related violence and oppression, human rights, national minorities, children's rights, and personal representatives.
Your tasks
Will be to ensure through supervision that municipalities comply with the rules and regulations arising from the Alcohol Act, the Tobacco Act, and similar products, as well as the Act on Tobacco-Free Nicotine Products. You will conduct operational supervision according to the approved supervision plan and follow and review the decisions made in the municipalities. Part of the work involves processing cases and drafting decisions. The work also includes providing advice and support to municipalities through training initiatives, networking meetings, and oral and written information. You are expected to work independently and in collaboration with other actors at the national, regional, and local levels. As part of the work, administrative tasks as well as the authority's and unit's internal cross-sectoral work (especially ANDTS and crime prevention work) are included. The work involves travel within the county.
Mandatory requirements for the position:
- You have relevant academic education, preferably with a focus on law, social sciences, public health, or equivalent.
- You have experience in supervisory work.
- You are an experienced system user.
- You are proficient in the Office Suite.
- You have knowledge of public administration.
- You can express yourself well in both speech and writing (Swedish).
Meritorious:
- If you have knowledge of the Alcohol Act.
- If you have knowledge of the Tobacco Act and similar products.
- If you have knowledge of the Act on Tobacco-Free Nicotine Products.
- If you have experience in collaboration between different actors.
- If you have experience in implementing capacity-building initiatives.

The employment is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
