Business Controller, Landskrona
Ohlssons was founded in 1998 in Landskrona and today has approximately 850 employees, operations in about 50 municipalities across Sweden, and a turnover of over 1.5 billion. The company assists municipalities and businesses with services in waste management, sludge and water supply, recycling, transport, and contracting. The group also includes Puls – Planned Maintenance Service AB, Soreto Services AB, Exellent Syd AB, ÖMAB, and Tintorella Fastigheter AB.
About the Position
Ohlssons is a group in strong expansion, and as the business grows, effective financial management becomes an important part of supporting continued development. As a Business Controller, you will have a close operational role with the responsibility of producing analyses and relevant decision-making materials that enable the business to follow up, understand, and develop its results. You will work closely with managers and leadership, analyzing financial outcomes and identifying deviations and trends. By putting the numbers in relevant context, you contribute to well-founded priorities and decisions, both in daily operations and from a long-term perspective.
In this role, you will be the hub between the finance function and the operations. You are the one who builds bridges, creates clarity, and brings knowledge into the organization by making finance understandable, relevant, and useful in everyday life.
Main Responsibilities:
- Follow-up and analysis of financial outcomes against budget and forecasts
- Identification and analysis of deviations, trends, and factors affecting results
- Preparation of relevant decision-making materials for managers and leadership
- Support in budget and forecasting work as well as ongoing financial planning
- Financial follow-up of operations, projects, or business areas
- Ongoing dialogue and collaboration with the business on financial matters
- Collaboration with the accounting function to ensure quality in financial materials

Profile
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in an environment where analysis, structure, and collaboration go hand in hand. You work methodically and carefully while being curious about how the business operates beyond the numbers. You have a good ability to create trust and build relationships with people in different parts of the organization in a responsive and unpretentious manner. Through your communication skills, you can describe financial relationships in a concrete and accessible way that makes the numbers understandable in our managers' daily lives.
Experience and Qualifications
- At least three years of experience as a Business Controller or in a corresponding operational controller role
- Used to independently driving follow-up, analysis, and preparation of decision-making materials
- Experience with a good habit of working closely with a business in changing environments
- Good experience in budget, forecasting, and follow-up work
- Very good system proficiency; experience with analysis and reporting tools
- Experience with Power BI is an advantage
