Commissioning Engineer in Finspång

Do you want to be part of the final and decisive step before advanced industrial systems are delivered to customers? We are now looking for a commissioning engineer to a friendly team in Finspång where you will work practically, technically, and closely with both colleagues and customers.

About the role

As a commissioning engineer, you are part of the team responsible for final testing and verification of complete systems before delivery. You work closely with test leaders and are hands-on in the environment – in the control room, at turbines, and out in the facility.

The work includes, among other things:

  • Testing and verifying control systems, transmitters, valves, and auxiliary equipment
  • Reading and following P&ID/circuit diagrams and checklists (VCM) per project
  • Troubleshooting when systems do not behave as expected
  • Performing simple cable reconnections and practical adjustments
  • Participating in daily management together with test leaders
  • Working according to clear testing and quality routines, sometimes with the customer on-site

As a junior commissioning engineer, you will be offered a structured introduction where you will shadow colleagues. The training takes a couple of months and is supplemented with internal training. In the long run, there is an opportunity to develop further towards test leader.

The team

You will be part of a larger testing and commissioning team consisting of both commissioning engineers and test leaders. The team works project-based, always with at least one of each role per project. The group is relatively junior with a long-term ambition to build competence over time, characterized by collaboration, structure, and technical focus.

Requirements:

  • Vocational education in, for example, electrical engineering, automation, or similar
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and working with voltage
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams and technical documentation
  • Experience or training in measurement and testing instruments (e.g., Fluke, Bimex)
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Technical interest in control systems and how they work

Meritorious:

  • Swedish language skills
  • Experience from industry, testing, commissioning, or automation

More about you

To thrive in the role, we see that you are:

  • A team player who collaborates naturally with others
  • Structured and responsible in your work approach
  • Curious and solution-oriented, even when everything is not entirely clear from the start
