Description

Karl Johansskolan is an F-6 school located in the heart of Majorna, near Slottsskogen and the city's cultural life.

The school consists of approximately 600 students divided into three to four parallel classes in grades F-6. The school has a high level of well-being, where a large part of the staff has worked for a long time and, together with younger educators, is actively involved in leading the school's operations forward. Educators and other staff collaborate around the students so that they feel safe and have several adults they can turn to. Special educational support is available linked to all work teams. We work together to promote students' learning, social development, and well-being.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher to teach mathematics, Swedish, and English for grades 4-6. The position is temporary during the spring term of 2026, with a chance of extension.

Together with your colleagues, you will drive the pedagogical development for students throughout the school day. You will plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate the activities according to applicable governing documents and the goals of the operations. You are innovative and forward-thinking and keep yourself well updated in your field.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics, Swedish, and English for grades 4-6. You need to have previous experience in teaching in primary school. It is an advantage if you have qualifications to teach additional subjects.

As a person, you are flexible and enjoy working in a changing everyday life where you can quickly adapt when circumstances change. You are independent in your work and take personal responsibility to drive your tasks forward, while also seeing the value in helping your colleagues and collaborating to achieve common goals.

You are friendly and helpful towards others and show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are inviting and positive. You convey information and ideas clearly. You can, through a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions, adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation.
