Brå's mission is to promote crime prevention through development, research, statistics, and knowledge dissemination, primarily to the government and authorities within the justice system. Our office is located on Fleminggatan in central Stockholm. We currently have about 200 employees.

About the Job

We are on a journey towards a more Windows-based platform. IT will grow, and we are investing in modernizing our IT environment and delivery. This has involved a transition from Novell to Outlook and Office, as well as a transition from OES to AD. We are now looking for a technician to assist us in this ongoing journey. We are considering using the cloud more extensively where appropriate.

As a system administrator at Brå, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of Windows Server environments, as well as the management of Active Directory, GPO, PKI, and Exchange. You will contribute to the development of security, processes, and routines, and have the opportunity to influence how Brå develops its Windows platform and establishes best practices.

The role involves actively collaborating with IT support, system administrators, IT security, architecture, and development teams. You will serve as a knowledge bearer towards technicians and support colleagues. For this role, it is also important to have a strong ability to help and support colleagues and to feel comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing. You will also conduct internal training sessions, instruct colleagues in standard tools and best practices.

Your Education and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer
  • At least 5 years of experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, and Exchange
  • Experience working in complex and security-critical environments, preferably within the public sector.

It is an advantage if you have certifications in Microsoft Windows Server, AD, PKI, and Exchange, as well as experience with PowerShell, Linux, and virtualization (e.g., Proxmox).

Your Personal Qualities

You are a communicative team player who works in a structured and meticulous manner, with an understanding of processes and documentation. You are curious, proactive, and have a strong desire to develop and learn continuously. With pedagogical skills, you can explain technology at different levels and engage colleagues in change and development. You contribute to an open, learning culture and handle feedback constructively.

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment located at Fleminggatan 14 in Stockholm. Brå applies a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting.
