HVB Oliven is a treatment home aimed at adult women and men aged 18 and over with substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders. We offer a safe and structured environment where the focus is on creating conditions for change, recovery, and a life free from substance abuse. We are now looking for an engaged alcohol and drug therapist/counselor who wants to be part of our professional team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a counselor at HVB Oliven, you will be part of our treatment team and participate in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of clients' treatment efforts.

You, together with the team, are responsible for creating and conducting group treatments and working with individual conversations based on the client's needs and treatment plan. The work involves following up on treatment processes, documenting, collaborating with external actors, and contributing to a safe and structured environment at the residence.

You have a central role in motivating and supporting clients in their change processes and in strengthening their ability to participate and take responsibility in their own process. Part of the assignment involves being a contact person for one or more clients, which means following their development, coordinating efforts, and being a safe, supportive adult in their daily lives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained alcohol and drug therapist or has other relevant education in treatment, social work, or healthcare. You have at least three years of experience in group treatment and group processes, as well as a good understanding of co-occurring disorders and addiction conditions.

You are confident in your role, have good collaboration skills, and a respectful, low-arousal approach. You enjoy working both independently and in a team, are flexible, and have a genuine desire to make a difference for people in vulnerable life situations.
