As our new colleague, you will play an important role in developing our mobile acute service. We are a cutting-edge clinic that welcomes innovative thinking.

The Psychiatric Clinic is part of the division of psychiatry and disabilities. The mission of the organization is to provide specialized psychiatric care to adults with severe psychiatric illness in southern and western Sörmland. The goal of the organization is to achieve improved mental health, quality of life, and functional ability for our patients.

The Psychiatric Clinic in Nyköping is a small and well-functioning clinic, located at the hospital with the possibility of collaboration with somatic clinics. The clinic has two inpatient wards, one focused on intensive care/dependency and the other on general psychiatry/psychosis. Our psychiatric outpatient care is divided into general psychiatry, psychosis, and dependency, and we have outpatient clinics in both Nyköping and Katrineholm.

The mobile acute psychiatric reception is intended for adult psychiatry, but there is also collaboration with child and adolescent psychiatry, which may mean that minors can also seek acute care during on-call hours. The reception conducts acute home visits and collaborates with the rest of the clinic regarding urgent matters.

The reception is open 24/7 and is staffed by nurses and caregivers. The mobile part of the service is staffed every day until midnight. We are a small close-knit group with proximity to management and short decision-making paths. We have regular supervision.

Your Responsibilities

The work is conducted in teams and includes reception work, mobility, and telephone counseling. Home visits are always made together with a colleague, and in some cases, collaboration with doctors and other authorities, such as ambulances and police, is necessary. We also follow up with patients who have recently been seen at the reception via phone.

The work involves meeting patients in difficult situations. Information gathering and vital parameters are used to assess, triage, and prioritize care needs. As a nurse, you will determine whether the patient needs the interventions of specialist psychiatry or if the patient can return home or be followed up by another caregiver.

The work includes standard nursing tasks and assessments.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with a specialization in psychiatric care. In addition to your license/degree, work experience in psychiatry is an advantage. You have a B driver's license. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. Requests for a working degree lower than 100% can be discussed.
