At the oncology clinic, we are in an expansive phase, building a team of resident doctors and planning for further recruitment. We are now looking for someone interested in active leadership, operational development, and who wants to continue leading the development of the medical group forward.

The oncology clinic is a regional clinic with primary operations at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna. We also have a medical reception and outpatient treatment unit at Nyköping Hospital.

At Mälarsjukhuset, there are both the radiation therapy unit, medical treatment unit, and our inpatient department, the Oncology Department. Since all units are co-located at the cancer center, we have good logistics for both patients and staff. The radiation therapy unit has 3 radiation machines and a well-equipped target center with its own CT simulator. We conduct several clinical studies within the framework of the clinical research unit at our outpatient unit. Your Responsibilities

You will serve as the first line manager for the medical group, which means personnel, development, and budget responsibility for the medical group. The managerial role is not full-time, and the remaining part of the position is as a specialist physician. There are good opportunities to adjust the setup based on your conditions, and the exact distribution of time will be agreed upon with the operations manager.

Furthermore, you will be part of the clinic's management team and contribute to planning, leading, and developing the clinic in a way that benefits both the patient, the operation, and the staff.

As a newly appointed manager in Region Sörmland, you will be offered a comprehensive introduction with basic knowledge of organization, governance, and the employer role. Ongoing management training will be offered after the introduction. Region Sörmland also provides various types of leadership development programs.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with a specialist certificate in oncology. By showing personal care, you easily create participation, good relationships, and can build collaboration both within and outside the organization. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Employment Type

Permanent employment within the region with start date according to agreement and a fixed-term appointment as unit manager physician.
