Paramedical Clinic Mälarsjukhuset, Eskilstuna

About Us

The Occupational Therapy Department at Mälarsjukhuset provides rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient care. We are now looking for an occupational therapist for inpatient care. Working in inpatient care is rewarding but can also be demanding as we are an important piece in the discharge process. The occupational therapist group operates from shared premises with physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants. This ensures that colleagues are always nearby to ask questions, reflect with, receive help from, or assist in daily work.

Your Responsibilities

The moment a patient is admitted to the ward, the discharge process also begins. Sometimes only medical needs need to be addressed, but often an occupational therapy assessment and intervention are also required. You will work from our premises but have a base placement (ward) where you meet patients to assess their need for rehabilitative interventions and assistive devices. In addition to your base placement, you will also be part of a coverage group consisting of a smaller number of occupational therapist colleagues with whom you will plan vacations. You will work independently and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. At the same time, you will have close collaboration with physiotherapists, the ward team, patients and their relatives, as well as other healthcare providers.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed occupational therapist or will graduate at the end of the upcoming term. Since home visits may occur, a B driver's license is desirable. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Permanent position with start date according to agreement.
