Kriminalvården is looking for an Administrative Officer for the new Transport Section in Stockholm

Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. The Transport Department (TA) is tasked with transporting and supervising detained individuals. These are Kriminalvården's clients who are moved between detention centers and prisons, to court hearings, and hospitals, among other places. TA also transports detained individuals for, for example, the Police, the National Board of Institutional Care, the Migration Agency, and psychiatry. We are now looking for you to work as an Administrative Officer for our newly opened Transport Section in Stockholm (Farsta).

Interviews will take place physically on-site in Solna on Friday, January 23rd.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of Administrative Officer, you will handle incoming mail and emails, as well as the administration of cases and documents, such as referrals and transport documents. You will be responsible for case registration of matters and documents. You will manage the administration of the section's internal website (Krimnet) and be responsible for meeting administration within the section. You will conduct self-checks within the section's area of responsibility and support the section manager with preparation administration in the area.

Furthermore, you will handle inquiries from the public, other authorities, and the media regarding access to public documents. You will support and train internal employees in handling documents, case registration, and the use of digital tools. Additionally, you will actively participate in the unit's development and quality assurance work.

The section in Farsta is planned to open in May 2026, and most of your introduction will take place at the transport section in Solna during the spring.

The section in Farsta is located in Farsta Strand. Approximately one hundred correctional officers and several administrators and case handlers will work in the section. The operations will be led by a section manager along with three correctional inspectors.

QUALIFICATIONS

The work as an administrator is a service and quality assurance function that requires you to be meticulous, able to work both independently and in close collaboration with others within the section, as well as with other actors both within and outside the authority.

You have good collaboration skills and are clear in your communication. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You make correct assessments and priorities and are self-driven. You easily adapt to changing circumstances. You take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. Since the operations in Farsta are under construction, you are expected to establish routines and working methods for the administrative function of the operations.

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with an administrative or economic focus, or other education combined with relevant experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience working as an administrator within public administration
• Very good knowledge of expressing oneself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Very good computer skills and ability to work in Word and Excel
• Knowledge of some document and case management system

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in case registration and handling of public documents
• Experience working within Kriminalvården
• Experience working with document and case management systems
• Experience in educational work
• Knowledge of regulations for handling public documents
