We are looking for summer substitutes who want to become part of our driven and committed teams at the municipality's special accommodations.

As a summer substitute with us, you have the opportunity to work according to a schedule. You can also choose to work on an hourly basis, meaning you can step in as needed. Our employees distribute their vacation over all three summer months, which means there is an opportunity to work both in June, July, and August. There is also the possibility to work as a substitute already in the spring.

Brinkehem is a special accommodation located in Brösarp. Brinkehem consists of three departments with a total of 22 apartments. The Ljungen department is the largest and has a general orientation with a total of ten apartments, of which two are adapted for couples. The Heden department consists of seven single-room apartments, and the Ängslyckan department consists of five apartments intended for people with dementia diagnoses.

In Skåne Tranås, there is the special accommodation Norrevång, which is adapted for people with a dementia diagnosis. Norrevång has a total of 21 apartments distributed across the three departments Lindängen, Stiernemosse, and Qvarnen. There is also a day activity center called Vännen.

At Norrevång and Brinkehem, staff work around the clock. A common feature of our special accommodations is the proximity to nature and daily activities, such as bingo, music entertainment, outdoor activities, and baking.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you curious about what it is like to work in elderly care? We are looking for valuable summer substitutes for our special accommodations.

As a summer substitute in elderly care in Tomelilla municipality, you are part of people's daily lives. You work to support our users so they can live as independently as possible. Your work is characterized by great variation, and the tasks we perform always focus on the needs of the users. Each individual has varying needs for help and support, and your responsible work makes a significant difference in our users' daily lives. Your duties include providing practical support in personal care and hygiene, household tasks, or support in social contexts, such as:

  • Showering, personal hygiene, and shaving
  • Toilet visits
  • Getting up and going to bed, as well as dressing and undressing
  • Cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping
  • Accompanying to, for example, the health center or outdoor activities such as walks
  • Administering medication as delegated by a registered nurse

QUALIFICATIONS

Are you confident, responsible, flexible, and have a good attitude in your work? Then you are the one we are looking for! We welcome both those with previous experience in care work and those ready for new challenges. We offer a personalized introduction and an opportunity to learn and grow into your tasks.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in service and personal suitability for care work. A prerequisite for you to thrive is a genuine interest and curiosity for the work.

We place great value on you being responsible, engaged, and having good communication skills. Since you will have daily contact with users, colleagues, relatives, and managers, the assignment places high demands on good cooperation and your ability to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We consider it an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant or have equivalent education, as well as if you have previous experience in care work.

To work with us, you must pass the medication test, both written and oral, as well as the practical part for medication delegation in Tomelilla municipality.
