We are looking for summer substitutes who want to become part of our driven and dedicated teams within the municipality's home care groups. Staff leave every day to help and support customers living in ordinary housing.

As a summer substitute with us, you have the opportunity to work according to a schedule. You can also choose to work on an hourly basis, meaning you can step in as needed. Our employees distribute their vacation over all three summer months, which means there is an opportunity to work in June, July, and August. There is also a possibility to work as an hourly substitute already in the spring.

Brösarp's home care service is based on and has a close collaboration with Brösarp's special housing Brinkehem. The area covers both the village of Brösarp and the surrounding countryside.

Home Care West is a home care group based in central Tomelilla. The area extends from parts of central Tomelilla to the nearby villages of Skåne Tranås, Spjutstorp, Onslunda, and Tryde.

A common requirement for work in both home care groups is that you need to be able to work independently and primarily travel by car between users.

The night patrol works in ordinary housing within the entire Tomelilla municipality's elderly care. The work also includes assisting within LSS and social psychiatry. In the night patrol, you usually drive together with a colleague, but occasions where you need to drive alone may occur.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer substitute in elderly care in Tomelilla municipality, you are part of people's everyday lives. You work to support our users so that they can live as independently as possible. Your work is characterized by great variation, and the tasks we perform always focus on the user's needs. Each individual has a varied need for help and support, and your responsible work makes a significant difference in our users' everyday lives. Your work includes providing practical support in personal care and hygiene, household tasks, or support in social contexts, for example:

  • Showering, personal hygiene, and shaving
  • Toilet visits
  • Getting up and going to bed, as well as dressing and undressing
  • Cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping
  • Accompanying to, for example, a health center or outdoor activities such as walks
  • Medication administration delegated by a registered nurse

QUALIFICATIONS

Are you confident, responsible, flexible, and have a good approach in your work? Then you are the one we are looking for! We welcome both those with previous experience in care and support work and those ready for new challenges. We offer an individualized introduction and the opportunity to learn and grow into your tasks.

We are looking for you who have a strong service interest and personal suitability for care and support work. A prerequisite for you to thrive is a genuine interest and curiosity for the work.

We place great value on you as a person being responsible, engaged, and having good communication skills. Since you will have daily contact with users, colleagues, relatives, and managers, the assignment places high demands on good collaboration and that you can master the Swedish language in speech and writing.

We consider it an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant or have equivalent education, as well as if you have previous experience in care and support work.

To work with us, you must pass the medication test, both written and oral, as well as the practical part for medication delegation in Tomelilla municipality. A driver's license for a passenger car is required to work in home care.

To work in care and support, we request a copy of the police record extract.
