Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability care, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

Svartes Special Housing is located about ten kilometers west of Ystad, situated in a nature and sea-close location. The residence has 28 apartments, and we work with individuals living with cognitive diseases, in an environment characterized by safety, respect, and individualized care.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The operation is characterized by a person-centered approach where you actively contribute to creating a meaningful and safe everyday life for the residents at Svarte Boende, in close collaboration with their relatives, while we also care for a sustainable and developing work life for our employees.

As a care assistant at Svarte Boende, you will provide individualized care and support to our residents based on their needs and wishes. Your tasks include:

• Providing personal care, medical care, and social support
• Observing, documenting, and reporting changes in health status
• Collaborating closely with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other colleagues
• Contributing to a meaningful everyday life for our residents through activities and conversations
• Working according to applicable routines and guidelines within elderly care

Resource shifts may occur in the schedule, which means that you may need to work certain shifts in other units in the municipality as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Svarte Boende is looking for someone who is empathetic and attentive, with a good ability to collaborate and meet people with respect. You easily create a sense of security in interactions with others and are responsible and flexible in your work approach. We see that you have a genuine commitment and a strong interest in providing high-quality care. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

• You are a trained care assistant and can provide proof of a protected professional title.
• You have good knowledge of dementia care.
• You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Delegation of health and medical care tasks
• Experience in documentation
• Driver's license (B) and can commute to work
