In beautiful nature with sea and forest, Ängelholm is close to the major cities in the Öresund region. The operating department in Ängelholm belongs to the area of anesthesia, surgery, and intensive care at Helsingborg Hospital. Currently, we primarily conduct planned day surgery activities in the operating department in Ängelholm. The department consists of surgical, anesthesia, sterilization, day surgery, and recovery operations. We provide specialized planned care in orthopedics, surgery, gynecology, urology, and ear-nose-throat, and we receive both adults and children during daytime, Monday to Friday. We are responsible for the entire pre-, peri-, and postoperative flow.

The recovery department has twelve monitoring places for elective and inpatient surgery. The sterile technical unit has both internal and external customers. We are about 90 employees, and the workgroup consists of nurses, operating nurses, anesthetic nurses, nursing assistants, sterile technicians, doctors, and unit managers. We constantly strive for good teamwork and collaboration between our specialties, as we believe it is one of the keys to providing good care for our patients. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome you who are looking for a varied and stimulating job where you will have a significant role in collaboration with your colleagues in the operating team!

In the role of operating nurse, you will work with pre- and perioperative care. Together with your colleagues, you will strive to offer the patient the best possible care, and with warmth, security, and competence, you will aim to make the patient feel well cared for both before and during the operation. As an operating nurse, you will assist in all types of operations and participate in pre- and post-work, such as setting up and handling used instruments. In your daily work, you will also handle a large amount of medical technical equipment.

With us, you will plan your shifts according to a business-adapted wish schedule. The work involves day shifts.

The introduction is tailored individually based on your previous experiences. In the department, we offer four study days per year and annual training in CPR.

QUALIFICATIONS

We now welcome you who are a licensed nurse with specialized training in operating room nursing and eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are required. It is an advantage if you have experience working in an operating department with mixed assignments of elective and emergency activities. Furthermore, we would like you to have good knowledge of the journal systems Orbit and Melior.
