Make a difference. Every day.
Are you a licensed nurse looking for a workplace where you can make a difference? The emergency department is open from 08:00 to 20:00 every day of the week. What sets us apart from other small emergency departments is that we also receive Priority 1 alarms via ambulance.
From June 2025, we have also expanded our operations as the evening and weekend clinic has moved in conjunction with the emergency department in Hässleholm.
Welcome to us - the small hospital with big opportunities! Here, you will be part of a close-knit team where every employee is important. We value a work environment with open communication and close collaboration, ensuring that you are never just a number.
The hospital in Hässleholm offers a dynamic work environment with two internal medicine departments and a rehabilitation department, where patient intake primarily occurs from our own emergency department. In addition to these departments, we have a comprehensive elective orthopedic operation and a large outpatient service with various specialties. Our emergency department is open for adult patients in need of urgent care within medical specialties. The evening and weekend clinic is open for patients who cannot wait until their regular health center opens, currently only on weekends and public holidays.
The management area Close Care and Health is under construction and has been operational since January 1, 2025. The emergency care area within the management consists of the emergency departments in Skåne that do not have 24/7 operations as well as all evening and weekend clinics in Skåne. Here, we lead with heart, courage, respect, and curiosity.
Warm welcome to become part of our dedicated team at Hässleholm Hospital, where you will have the opportunity to grow and contribute to our collective success!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for a nurse who wants a varied job in our emergency department. You will be offered great opportunities to develop over time by working in the evening and weekend clinic as well as working in the medical emergency department at the hospital, which is closely connected to the emergency department.
In our emergency department, you primarily work to prioritize, treat, and care for acutely ill patients, as well as triage, make assessments, and provide advice. We work according to the prioritization system RETTS to ensure patient safety and use the triage handbook as support during triaging. You will work alternately with internal and external contacts, such as other units in the hospital, public authorities, and other healthcare providers.
Your responsibilities in the evening and weekend clinic include telephone advice, triaging, sampling, and assistance during doctor consultations. You will also be involved in improvement and development work. Our goal is to offer our patients high medical quality and a good work environment for our employees.
-I first worked here as a nursing assistant, and after studying to become a nurse, I returned. I think that says a lot about how well I enjoy working here! The long introduction of 12 weeks, which was a mix of theory and practice, allowed me to settle in comfortably. I trust my colleagues and always feel appreciated. We discuss both easy and difficult questions and have fun together, which I think is important, says nurse Emma.
What is particularly exciting about this position is that you will have a good insight into our various operations and develop in both acute care and in triaging patients to the right care facility. There are opportunities to expand your competence by combining your position with our emergency care department, with which we have a good collaboration. You will work closely with our training nurse and have great opportunities to develop in your profession within acute care.
When you start, you will be offered a 12-week introduction to feel secure in your professional role and perform your tasks both independently and in collaboration with others.
You will work according to a schedule with varying working hours, where you will work both day/evening and two weekends out of five.
