We are looking for a Mechanical Designer/Product Developer for our team in Stockholm

As a designer or product developer with us, you will work on exciting projects within the defense industry, aviation, and automotive development. Your role as a Mechanical Designer

In this role, you will be part of a wonderful team of designers and project managers who enjoy the mix of cool technology and having fun at work. You will work on developing mechanical components that meet established functional and environmental requirements. The work may also include analyses of compliance with requirements, detailed design, geometric tolerancing, and material selection. Depending on your background and interests, we will work to find the right assignment for you.

Colleagues have different backgrounds and experience levels, which means you will be able to discuss and tackle complex problems as well as gain new perspectives. Depending on your level of experience, the complexity of the tasks will be distributed accordingly, making the work challenging and stimulating for everyone. You may also act as a mentor to more junior colleagues if you have the interest and experience.

In the mechanical team, we invest in new technologies and working methods - therefore, all our designers take courses in MBD (Model Based Definition) as well as 3D printing technology. Since we have clients in the Stockholm area, your placement will be at our clients' sites, but also at our office in Alvik.

Who are you?

We are looking for both those with specialist knowledge or extensive experience in design and/or product development, as well as those who are at the beginning of their careers with a few years of work experience behind them. You have a relevant engineering degree in your background.

As a designer, you are creative, with an interest in improving and working on new developments, adaptations, and efficiencies. You have good general knowledge of mechanics and have previously designed components that have been manufactured based on your drawings, preferably using various manufacturing methods. We expect you to be skilled in CAD, and experience with Siemens NX, Creo, or CATIA is a plus. Experience in designing battery enclosures and cooling systems is highly meritorious.

We believe you are curious and open to acquiring new knowledge and not afraid to take your own initiatives to drive the work forward. The role often involves collaboration with adjacent functions such as purchasing, quality, and production departments, which is why good communication skills and humility are key to reaching the necessary compromises required to find the best overall solution.

As the position involves work that is subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
