About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in modern data platforms, big data processing, and advanced ETL/ELT flows. You will work on building scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that support the organization's needs for analysis, reporting, and automation.

The role is suitable for you who want to work broadly with Azure, Databricks, PySpark, and Data Factory – and who are passionate about creating robust data ecosystems that enable data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics
• 
  
• Develop and optimize data processing logic using PySpark, Python, and SQL
• 
  
• Work with Unity Catalog, RBAC, and Key Vault for security, data governance, and access controls
• 
  
• Build scalable data lake structures and orchestrate automated workflows
• 
  
• Ensure data quality, data lineage, and high performance in large datasets
• 
  
• Create advanced dashboards in Power BI to support business decisions
• 
  
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams
• 
  
• Implement solutions for cost optimization, reliability, and disaster recovery
• 
  
• Contribute to innovation through the integration of GenAI solutions in Azure

Qualifications

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Big Data Engineer
• 
  
• Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics
• 
  
• Strong expertise in PySpark, Python, and SQL
• 
  
• Experience in developing and deploying ETL/ELT processes
• 
  
• Experience in data lake design, pipeline orchestration, and logical modeling
• 
  
• Knowledge of security and governance (Key Vault, RBAC, Unity Catalog)
• 
  
• Experience with Power BI and reporting solutions
• 
  
• Good understanding of big data processing and real-time/batch flows

Nice to Haves

• Experience from industries such as insurance, fintech, retail, or FMCG
• 
  
• Experience with IoT data, containerization, and serverless architectures
• 
  
• Experience in cost optimization within Azure
• 
  
• Knowledge of integrating OpenAI services on Azure

• Certifications such as:
• Databricks Data Engineer Professional

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
