Main Responsibilities

The Armed Forces are in an intensive phase where different types of cloud environments are being implemented. There are several different applications/services that will be deployed in the coming years. The Armed Forces' transformation journey offers great opportunities for innovative thinking and the possibility for personal initiatives.

We are a team with several different competencies such as project managers, product owners, test leaders, and system developers. In the role of a system developer, your tasks will include:

  • Development and maintenance of software (C#, PowerShell)
  • Development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments
  • Infrastructure as code

You will be part of a team where the job means that you, together with the team, have a great responsibility where you are expected to be self-driven and solution-oriented for the team to achieve set goals together.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university/college education in IT, or equivalent acquired experience/education that the Armed Forces assess as equivalent
  • Several years of work experience and good knowledge in system development with C#, PowerShell, or another scripting language
  • You need to master Swedish and English well, both orally and in writing
  • Swedish citizenship

Meritorious

  • Working agile (SCRUM/Kanban or similar)
  • Azure DevOps services and products (or similar)
  • Development in cloud environments
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git, CI/CD
  • Work in environments with very high security requirements
  • DevSecOps
  • Container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • TLS certificates

Personal Qualities

As a person, you need to be curious and solution-oriented, have the ability to work as part of a group but also work independently. You have a great interest in technology and enjoy learning more in your technical field. You are positive, see solutions, and find opportunities and structure.

Other

The position is permanent and begins with a 6-month probationary period for those who are not employed within the Armed Forces.

The place of employment is Stockholm, and the start date is as soon as possible or by agreement. Travel in the service occurs.

The Armed Forces' telecommunications and information systems unit, FMTIS, ensures the Armed Forces' ability to communicate and lead - around the clock, year-round.

The unit has a collective responsibility for the Armed Forces' technical command systems that support military operations at sea, on land, and in the air - in Sweden and abroad.
