Power System Analyst at Ellevio
Ellevio is one of Sweden's largest energy companies and thus an important enabler of the climate transition. By 2045, electricity consumption in Sweden is expected to more than double. This means that investments in our electricity grid are among the most important things we do. We are undertaking extensive investment projects to modernize, digitalize, weatherproof, and expand the electricity grids, as well as create conditions for connecting new fossil-free production. We believe in a bright and sustainable future, do you?
About the role of Power System Analyst
As a Power System Analyst, you play a central role in ensuring long-term network solutions in Ellevio's grid. You are responsible for network investigations and analyze various technical options. Tasks include load flow and fault current calculations, sizing of cables and transformers, participation in target network work and subscription issues. You also act as technical support within investment projects and operational matters. Additionally, you optimize and further develop technical instructions and processes related to the role.
You collaborate with colleagues from different departments at Ellevio and, with your technical expertise, contribute to developing and supporting colleagues in the team. With us, you work in an engaged team driven by challenges and exciting projects, focusing on improving work methods with good personal development opportunities.
”This is a position with great freedom and varied tasks within many important issues that contribute to the future direction of Ellevio and the energy transition. Here you will have the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with many of your colleagues across several departments such as Operations Center, Program & Project, Network Planning, and Facility Owners,” Sanaz Lavasani, Head of Analysis.
Who are you?
For the role of Power System Analyst, we are looking for someone who has good structure in their work and a careful approach to ensure high quality. You are analytical with a good ability to see logic and connections. You handle challenging questions and problems by developing solutions that contribute both short-term and long-term to the business. Good collaboration skills are important as you will be in contact with various internal departments and externally with customers and contractors.
We see that you:
- Have a master's degree or higher education in electrical power or equivalent competence from previous work experience.
- Have worked for a few years with power system analysis, network calculations, or network planning.
- Have knowledge of PSS/E or similar calculation software for masked regional networks or local networks.
- Are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you:
- Have knowledge of CIM modeling.
- Have experience with grid codes, e.g., RfG.
- Have previously worked with harmonics, resonance, or overvoltage calculations.
- Have experience programming in Python or Matlab.
