Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a process automation engineer. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and improve our existing SCADA and DCS system layer
• Incorporate lessons learned and requirements from local automation teams into the central SCADA/DCS strategy and requirements
• Be part of our expansion projects, partake in the work for the SCADA requirements and align those with the rest of the organization.
• Supplier and stakeholder management.
• Develop our current SCADA/DCS landscape and work together with the local teams to improve existing solutions.
• Be part of expansion projects and partake in the design of the SCADA and control systems.
• Work closely with the process engineers and operations to capture requirements and design suitable solutions.
• Supplier and stakeholder management.
• Collaborate with other IT and OT experts within the company to design optimal solutions.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computing, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Strong field experience from process automation
• Deeper knowledge from SCADA and PLC systems, such as Siemens, ABB and others.
• Experience with suppliers and commissioning of industrial systems
• Passionate by solving complex problems with technology in a simple yet innovative way
• Experience from working in multi-cultural environment

Bonus points for:

• Experience from Chemical & hydrometallurgical, refining facility, mineral processing or similar industry that includes electrical process systems.
• Hands-on experience of ABB 800xA, WinCC OA Unified development and/or Ignition.
• Fluency in other languages.
