Product Manager for Artillery and Countermeasures
Are you driven, structured, and able to collaborate with others? Do you want to work on qualified projects aimed at making Sweden and the world safer? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
Responsibilities
The maritime area will have an exciting development in the coming years! Existing capabilities will be maintained but also developed and complemented with new vessels and new weapon systems. We will, among other things, procure weapon systems for two large vessel projects, and we will also develop mine clearance capabilities and contribute to Sweden's membership in NATO.
As a product manager for artillery and countermeasures, you will primarily work as a requirements setter for our projects regarding the translation of the Armed Forces' capability requirements into technical solutions. The projects procure systems, among other things, for integration on the vessels, but also for improvements and other measures; your role is to enable taking technical design responsibility. This means you will be an important part of the project work and be responsible for ensuring that the projects address all aspects such as system safety, system lifecycle planning, quality assurance, and configuration management. Your responsibilities also include proposing measures to correct any functional and safety-related deficiencies.
You will participate in procurement and maintenance projects, which means you will be involved in planning, execution, and follow-ups to ensure the technical functionality of the material throughout its lifecycle.
In the Marine Surface Combat Systems Weapons unit, we are a great team that values mutual trust and taking personal responsibility. We have an open atmosphere and are happy to share our knowledge. We have fun at work while being professional towards both the Armed Forces and suppliers.
We invest heavily in training and have a learning organization with an open climate and friendly colleagues.
The position is based in Stockholm, but placement in Karlskrona can be discussed.
We are looking for you who
You are a civil engineer or have equivalent competence with a technical and/or military orientation. You should preferably have knowledge of technical work such as system design and/or documentation. Experience working with technical systems within the Armed Forces is an advantage.
We believe you have experience from technical project work within marine systems. If you have worked with complex technical system work and system safety, you will recognize yourself but still face new challenges. It is beneficial if you have experience in verification and validation of systems where you have worked with testing against a requirement specification and technical specification.
You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You have good collaboration skills, while also being able to function well in a workgroup, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks. You demonstrate good judgment in statements, actions, and decisions and make correct assessments and priorities.
Furthermore, you are structured, quality-conscious, and enjoy working towards set goals. You remain motivated and effective despite setbacks, are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness.
The position may involve travel both within and outside Sweden.
As several of our suppliers are located outside public transport, you need to have a Class B driver's license.
