Personal Assistants Needed for Young Woman in Sjöbo

We are looking for dedicated personal assistants for a young woman born in 2009 with autism and intellectual disabilities (ID). She requires extensive support in her daily life, both practically and socially, and we seek someone who can create security, predictability, and build a long-term relationship.

About the Client

She does not communicate with spoken language but interprets images and body language, showing what she wants by pointing, showing pictures, or taking adults by the hand. She is clear in her expressions but needs adults who can read her cues and support her in expressing herself and understanding her surroundings.

She needs structure and clear routines and may have emotional outbursts during sudden changes or misunderstandings in communication. Therefore, she needs calm, predictable adults around her who are experienced in handling emotions with a low-affect approach.

Scope of Support

• Support and supervision throughout her waking hours by a few trusted and familiar adults
• Assistance with communication, personal care, and all daily activities
• Companion during outdoor activities, walks, and transportation
• Someone who is attentive to sensory inputs, as she is sensitive to sound, light, and movement
• An environment with calm and structure, where she can feel safe and understood

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with children and young people with special needs. Experience working with autism, low-affect approaches, or clear pedagogical methods is advantageous. You should be patient, attentive, physically stable, and secure in yourself. You can work independently but also in close collaboration with guardians and colleagues.

Job Scope:

The shifts include daytime, evening, and weekend work. Our client also needs assistance during her time at daily activities.
