JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are reorganizing and strengthening our operations and are therefore looking for an additional 1st social worker!

The Individual and Family Authority is our new unit that works with authority operations for children, adults with harmful use and dependence, as well as violence in close relationships. We are about 25 employees working with reception, investigation, placement, follow-up of interventions, investigation and guidance of foster homes, as well as family law matters.

The unit is led by a unit manager and a 1st social worker, who are available for close supervision.

We are now looking for another 1st social worker for our unit. Your main responsibilities are to lead, distribute, and ensure the quality of the daily work for our child and youth investigators. It also includes planning our entire operation together with the unit manager, 1st colleagues, and of course the employees. It is a responsible job that requires great commitment and extensive knowledge of current laws, primarily SoL, LVU, and LBSB. Furthermore, you need to be comfortable representing the unit in committees and boards and also in court if necessary. This naturally requires that you are good at expressing yourself both verbally and in writing.

As you understand from our requirements, we are looking for someone with several years of experience in authority operations within municipal social services. We assume you are a social worker by training. As a person, you are structured, flexible, meticulous, and calm. You enjoy discussing cases and providing input in various parts of the handling process.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are a social worker.
• You have several years of experience in social services authority operations focused on children, youth, and families.
• Leadership experience is an advantage.
• You have a good ability to communicate, collaborate, treat others with respect, and implement decisions made.
• You know what it means to work in a politically governed organization, can relate to it, and understand how it affects your daily work situation.
• You have digital skills and find it easy to express yourself in speech and writing.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
