At the Security Department of the Migration Agency, you will play a central role in driving and coordinating the work with operational and security protection closely related to the operational activities.

The Security Department of the Migration Agency is part of the headquarters and has the overall responsibility for security and preparedness within the authority. Specialists in the Security Department work with information security, physical security, personnel security, crisis preparedness, civil defense, internal investigations, employee protection, and other security issues across the entire spectrum from operational protection to security protection.

Main Responsibilities

We are now looking for an expert to the Security Department who will work on issues related to preparedness and civil defense that can be linked to the Migration Agency's responsibilities in the area. The position is at a strategic level, which means you will be involved in planning the operations and shaping its content. This includes leading and working in various working groups and projects, developing risk and vulnerability analyses/assessments, developing war organization, creating and leading training and exercises, as well as enhancing the authority's ability to prevent and manage crises and heightened preparedness.

In your role, you will also handle referrals, collaborate both internally and externally, and work in a group with other experts in the security and preparedness area. Business trips will be a natural part of your work, and preparedness duty may become relevant.

Furthermore, you are an excellent representative for the Security Department in both internal and external contexts and can build good relationships both within and outside the authority.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on good judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

We are looking for someone who has

• A university degree with a focus on social sciences, security, or risk and crisis management, or another education combined with relevant experience for the position
• Experience in collaboration between authorities or larger organizations in the preparedness and/or security area
• Experience working with analysis and method development
• Good communication skills and proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Swedish citizenship

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience working with organizational development, such as normative documents and investigative work
• Experience in change management and/or follow-up work within the area of continuity management, war organization, crisis management, risk and vulnerability analyses
• Experience planning and conducting exercises and training within the preparedness area
• Knowledge of and experience leading projects, preferably within crisis preparedness and total defense
• Experience working in public or governmental organizations

Information

Employment type: Permanent with an initial 6-month probationary period
Working hours: Office hours or trust-based working hours
Location: Stockholm or Norrköping
Individual salary setting applies within a salary range of 58,000 – 63,000 SEK per month.
Start date: By agreement

Security clearance with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, there is a requirement for Swedish citizenship. Employment is contingent upon a successful security clearance.
