JOB DESCRIPTION

As a correctional officer responsible for VSP investigation and planning (Execution Planning), you will be part of a team and will be placed at Tidaholm Prison, where you and your colleagues will be responsible for reviewing and planning all clients' VSP. Depending on where the client is in the execution process, you will conduct investigations, establish and/or revise their VSP.

The main task of the investigator is to conduct a VSP investigation that forms the basis for planning the client's execution. The investigation includes information gathering, analysis, risk and needs assessment. Once the investigation is complete, an overall plan for the client's execution must be established. The role also involves participating in treatment collegiums to present the client's VSP to relevant staff and follow-up collegiums as needed. In this assignment, you will work closely with the client case manager and, if necessary, guide staff on VSP issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who works well with others and can relate to them in a responsive and flexible manner. You should have knowledge of RBM (Risk, Needs, and Responsiveness). In addition, you are expected to have good analytical skills and the ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written language. It is important that you can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively as the workload varies with the number of clients admitted to the prison. You take great responsibility for your tasks and drive your processes forward, think strategically about issues, see the bigger picture, and take into account the broader perspective.

To succeed in your role, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in people's willingness and ability to develop. We are looking for someone who has:

• Approved Correctional Education.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• Completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge in relevant areas, such as behavioral science, criminology, psychiatry, law, or conflict management.
• Work experience in correctional services, security work, social care, psychiatry, or healthcare.
• VSP investigator/planner training and experience in conducting investigations.
• Language skills beyond Swedish and English.
