RESPONSIBILITIES

As a lifeguard, you will supervise bathers in the pool, handle daily tasks such as routines for opening/closing, keep both indoor and outdoor areas clean and tidy, ensure that the swimming facility is a pleasant place to visit, and assist with questions from guests.

You may encounter tasks that are not included in the job description but need to be resolved, and above all, you should be prepared to save lives.

When you work as a lifeguard, you will be part of a team with other lifeguards, and if someone gets sick or for any other reason cannot complete a shift, the team will help each other cover for one another.

As an employed lifeguard, you will undergo training in First Aid and water rescue.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have good water familiarity and swimming skills.

You must be at least 16 years old, possess good social skills, and be organized, meticulous, patient, and engaged. You should be able to take initiative and be comfortable working with and around people.

All employees undergo training in First Aid and water rescue provided by Lifeguards Skövde before the start of employment, but it is advantageous if you have such or comparable training from before.

You enjoy being outdoors and can handle both warm and cold days.

You need to be flexible and helpful, both towards your colleagues and visitors.
