We are now looking for summer substitutes for our service offices in Eskilstuna and Strängnäs. With us, you will develop and gain lifelong experiences together with engaged and friendly colleagues, while your work contributes to increasing safety and reducing crime in Sweden.

For Eskilstuna, we are also looking for a report taker.

The Police Authority consists of approximately 40,000 employees and is divided into seven police regions, several common departments, and a secretariat. The Eastern Police Region includes Södermanland, Östergötland, and Jönköping County. The Södermanland Police Area is further divided into three local police areas; Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping, as well as an investigation section and a secretariat.

The summer positions are during the period of June to August. The employment begins with a two-week training, of which one week is theory and one week is practice.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a passport handler at the service office, your primary task will be to be the face of the authority and assist citizens who approach the police for various reasons. The work involves preparing and processing police authority cases. Other tasks may include receiving permit applications, answering questions via phone and email, and other tasks within the service office work. In this role, it is important that you can deliver good service 40 hours a week with maintained quality while spreading positive energy to your colleagues.

Main job responsibilities:

  • Process and issue travel documents
  • Register lost property
  • Handle payments via cash register

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed upper secondary education or equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • Work experience in reception activities or equivalent in service with direct customer contact, for example, retail.
  • Driver's license B
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and a good understanding of English

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Training in RES
  • Studying at the police education
  • Studying law
  • Experience in government processing.

Personal qualities

We are looking for outgoing service personalities with high social competence. Since the employment involves processing cases, we see that you are meticulous and responsible. Since the work involves daily contact with different personalities with varying abilities from all parts of the world, high demands are placed on communicative ability, that you are attentive, clear, and can adapt your message according to the recipient and situation. You have the ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining a high level of service and quality. As the face of the police, you are representative and trustworthy.

Job title: Administrator
Work location: Eskilstuna/Strängnäs
Working hours: Scheduled and varies depending on the workplace/location, evening work occurs 1 to 2 times per week
Start date: May/June 2026. The employment begins with mandatory training.
Temporary until: 2026-08-31, Start and end dates may be determined by agreement.
Function: Reception administrator

After the temporary employment ends, there may again be an opportunity for intermittent employment (hourly employment).
