We are now looking for a Product Owner who will play a key role in the development of our central product platform.
About the role
As the Product Owner for Nobina Commercial, you will be responsible for the business-oriented development of our digital solutions, with a particular focus on our core platform TRIP (Traffic Routing & Information Platform), a unique real-time solution that manages order flows, traffic management, subcontractors, driver information, customer information, and integrations with external actors. The role also includes responsibility for application and development needs in other systems within the business area. You will lead the development from idea to delivery together with our development teams and business representatives. The work involves capturing needs, translating them into clear requirements, prioritizing the backlog, driving the roadmap, and ensuring that features are implemented and understood by the business. The role has a significant strategic aspect but is also closely related to the practical use of the systems.
You will work closely with the development team of 9 colleagues in IT development, where you will be responsible for functionality, needs, requirements, and business value. The position is located in Solna, and we work in modern premises with access to a gym, pool, and restaurant.
Your responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the backlog for TRIP and other relevant systems.
- Identify business needs and translate them into functional requirements and clear development assignments.
- Lead and develop the IT roadmap for the business area together with business, operations, and development teams.
- Coordinate requirements and functionality with representatives from the business, customers, traffic planners, and subcontractors.
- Ensure the implementation of new features, including release notes, user documentation, training, and superuser structure.
- Contribute to proposal work, early solution sketches, and technical documentation in sales processes.
- Participate in customer meetings and dialogues when features and solutions need to be explained or requirements need to be clarified.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, you need to have a strong ability to navigate between business, technology, and operational activities. You understand how complex transport solutions work or have the capacity to quickly familiarize yourself with them.
Furthermore, we see that you have:
- Post-secondary education in economics or technology
- At least 5 years of experience in product ownership, system responsibility, technical project management, business development, or similar roles at the intersection of business and IT
- Experience in passenger transport, public transport, timetables, ticket solutions, or similar industry understanding
- Experience working with functional requirements, backlog, prioritization, and roadmap.
- Familiarity with collaborating with various types of stakeholders: developers, business, customers, operations
- Understanding of data structures, system integrations, and how digital solutions are built
- Experience in information modeling, data flows, service design, or user journeys is a plus
