About the role and your responsibilities

As an investigator, you will be responsible for and participate in investigations and analyses within overarching and strategic areas of operation. The pace of change and development is high, which requires you to quickly adapt to new or changed conditions and to develop working methods that lead to successful assignments. Examples of assignments we handle include specific projects, cross-organizational collaborations, business development, and preparation of political decision-making materials such as referrals and motions.

You will have significant personal responsibility and are expected to leverage the collective knowledge of your colleagues. The assignment involves leading both yourself and your own processes as well as taking responsibility for cross-organizational tasks. You will have tasks that require long-term thinking alongside shorter assignments.

We are looking for you

To be considered for the position, you need to have good knowledge of and experience working in a politically governed organization with a strong understanding of the democratic process. You have a degree from a university/college in social science/political science or another education deemed relevant for the assignment.

To succeed in the role, you need to have:

• experience in qualified investigative work, statistics, and analytical work
• experience working in a politically governed organization
• good understanding of the values, functioning, and role of the public sector
• good habit of collaborating with various parties and stakeholders, both internally and externally
• good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English

The work requires your analytical ability, and you find it easy to understand complex issues. You also need to have the ability to find direction and structure in questions and coordinate many people and interests. You are confident in leading both yourself and others and have an unpretentious attitude.

To thrive in the assignment, you need to be collaborative and cooperative, and we will place great emphasis on your ability to build good relationships and trust. You find it easy to adapt to changing circumstances and can quickly change your perspective and approach to achieve results.

You are comfortable expressing yourself in speech, writing, and visuals and are confident in presenting to others.

About the recruitment

We plan to hold the first selection interviews via Teams from January 15-21. Final interviews will take place on-site on January 27 (afternoon) and January 28 (afternoon), so we ask you to plan your availability accordingly.

About the workplace

The position is located in the investigation unit at the municipal office, which works with investigations, case preparation, urban planning, law, and the municipality's companies. The unit's assignment is based on current development issues that are deemed important from the perspective of the municipal group's overall future.
