About the Job

As a trainee in system development, you will be part of one of our agile development teams from day one. In close collaboration with the business, the teams deliver complete solutions that simplify life for millions of individuals and businesses. Our systems contribute to a well-functioning society by creating conditions for taxation, population registration, democratic elections, crime prevention, and international cooperation.

The Swedish Tax Agency's IT trainee program is now in its fifth year, and we are planning for the next start where we want to hire up to 20 trainees in 3 different locations. During the program, you will gain knowledge about the Swedish Tax Agency's operations and build on your experience. You will have an individual development plan that is followed up and revised during the program period so that you can create the best setup based on your conditions and the needs of the business. You will have an experienced mentor for support and guidance. The trainee program lasts for 12 months, and your daily routine consists of practical work, training, theme days, and workshops, alongside working in the team. We are curious about how immersive technologies such as VR and AR can be combined with generative AI to create new types of experiences, learning, and collaboration. Therefore, we are looking for you who want to explore this area with us and contribute new skills and perspectives.

As a trainee, you will use your problem-solving skills to create systems that facilitate everyday life for many. You will belong to Section 13 of Common Services and will work in one of our teams focused on advanced data analysis with an emphasis on Machine Learning and Generative AI. The placement is in Malmö.

About You

In this job, you should:

• be a team player and ensure both the group's and your own performance

• be curious, enjoy challenges, and have the ability to drive your own and the business's development forward
• express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and communicate in an engaging way.

You should also have:

• a current or recently completed relevant education in IT (at least 180 ECTS) from a college or university with graduation from 2024 or later, but no later than August 2026
• relevant experience of at least 30 ECTS in programming from your studies
• relevant experience with XR technologies (e.g., Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality), AI, or machine learning from your studies

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
