JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for temporary substitutes for several areas within care and support:

• Home Care - Support our customers in their homes. You mostly work independently but are part of a team. Movement occurs on foot, by bicycle, or by car.
• Care and Support Housing - Here, customers live with somatic illnesses and/or dementia. Your tasks are to support and assist customers throughout the day based on their needs. You have your colleagues close by but often work alone with the customer.
• Housing with Special Support - Here you work with customers who have some form of disability or mental health issues in their daily lives. The work is both independent and in a team. You work supportively and motivationally with the customer based on their life situation and wishes.
• Personal Assistance - You support customers with extensive needs in their homes. You work closely with the customer and create a safe everyday life. You work with customers of all ages with varying needs. Every day you face new experiences and challenges together with your customers.

In all operations, we work health-promoting with the customer in focus. Tasks may include personal care, cooking, cleaning, shopping, outdoor activities, and documentation. Your tasks are described in a plan that you follow during your workday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is positive, secure, and can work independently. Quality, response, and collaboration are the most important success factors in our common values.
• We prefer that you have relevant education in care and support or equivalent experience.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Is tech-savvy (digital work tools).
• It is advantageous if you have a driver's license and driving experience (requirement for home care, support housing, and personal support).
• For work with children and youth with special needs, experience with NPF diagnoses and a criminal record extract is required.

Working Hours

• You need to be able to work at least 75% during the summer period.
• For on-call employment: available at least 50%.
• Working hours: day, evening, weekend. Some operations have night or sleeping on-call shifts.

OTHER

Gävle municipality belongs to the Finnish administrative area. Therefore, if you also speak Finnish in addition to our other competency requirements, it can be an asset.
