As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of individuals, businesses, and authorities. We offer community-supporting services for emergency veterinary care, disease control, and preventive measures for good animal health. Always with our feet on the ground and our hearts in the right place. The District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a new colleague!

If you are interested in cattle, you have good opportunities to develop in that area. Hälsingland currently has several larger farms, and a significant part of the daily fieldwork involves servicing these and working preventively. Those interested in horses have the opportunity to help build a larger operation than we have been able to do so far, and if you have companion animals as your main area of interest, there are also good opportunities to work with that as we see that we can expand our capacity in all areas!

Since being on call is a natural part of our services, you need to be willing to work with and maintain competence across all animal species. You who apply to us find the variety of being a District Veterinarian appealing! However, there is the possibility to develop particularly within any special interests.

During on-call duty, we have the support of 9900, which is the District Veterinarians' central response function. 9900 is there to support, advise, and plan work during evenings and nights.

QUALIFICATIONS

Swedish veterinary license or temporary veterinarian status and a B driver's license are required. Good computer skills are an advantage.
