The Psychiatric Clinic in Southern Lapland is an outpatient clinic covering all diagnostic groups. Inpatient care is available in Skellefteå and Umeå. We have approximately 45 employees, most of whom are based at Lycksele Hospital, with others located in various towns in Southern Lapland. At the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams and often utilize digital communication tools.

You will meet patients in various life situations and have the time to get to know them. The diverse tasks will provide you with broad competencies. Although we have long distances between our facilities, this does not prevent us from having close collaborations with short decision-making paths. We support each other and care about one another.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that helps people feel secure. You support patients facing the complex and often difficult issues that patients in specialized psychiatry encounter.

Your work consists of conversation therapy, family and network work, as well as, to some extent, assessments, individual care planning, and follow-up. You assess patients' needs, suggest appropriate interventions in close teamwork, and coordinate efforts with various community actors, where you collaborate closely with other professionals at the clinic and in inpatient care at the psychiatric clinic in Skellefteå.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work is required for this position. Health and medical care social worker and basic psychotherapy training are advantageous. Experience in working with people with mental health issues and psychosocial interventions in close collaboration with nearby authorities is desirable. Travel is required for the position, and a valid driver's license (B) is a must.
