The Psychiatric Clinic Southern Lapland is an outpatient clinic covering all diagnostic groups. Inpatient care is available in Skellefteå and Umeå. We have about 45 employees, most of whom are located at Lycksele Hospital, with additional staff in other locations in Southern Lapland. At the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams and often use digital communication tools.

You will meet patients in various life situations and have the time to get to know them. The often varied tasks will provide you with broad competence. Although we have long distances between our operations, this does not prevent us from having close collaborations with short decision-making paths. We help each other and care for one another.

Placement in Southern Lapland as agreed, travel is included in the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure. You support patients with the complex and often difficult issues that patients within specialist psychiatry face.

Your work consists of conversation therapy, family and network work, as well as, to some extent, assessments, individual care planning, and follow-ups. You assess patients' needs, suggest appropriate interventions in close teamwork, and coordinate efforts with various community actors, where you collaborate closely with other professionals at the clinic and in inpatient care at the psychiatric clinic in Skellefteå.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work is required for this position. Health and medical care social worker and basic psychotherapy training are meritorious. Desired experience in meeting people with mental health issues and working with psychosocial interventions in close collaboration with nearby authorities. Travel is part of the job, and a valid driver's license (B) is required.
