Stockholm Guardianship Administration is part of the City of Stockholm and the largest guardianship administration in the country with over 10,000 cases. We are a supervisory authority that recruits, trains, and reviews representatives. We are currently working on creating a completely digital case management system using e-services and digital communication.

The administration is centrally located in new bright premises in Kungsholmen. Here you will find gyms, restaurants, and pleasant walking paths around the corner. We are over 70 employees divided into four units and a staff.

Your role

The work as a case officer involves, among other things, investigating the need for guardians and administrators, making certain decisions regarding the establishment of guardianship, providing opinions to the district court, and representing in court. Another part of the job involves investigating the suitability of a guardian or administrator and applying for a change of guardian or administrator. Supervision of guardians and administrators constitutes an important part of the work and is done by reviewing various reports and accounts from guardians and administrators and making decisions regarding the payment of municipal fees. There may also be training of guardians. As a case officer with us, you must be meticulous and have good organizational skills.

It is important that you can work independently as we have a large influx of cases and are in a change process where a lot is happening. The role involves many contacts with both the public and other authorities.

Your qualifications and experience

  • Degree in law
  • Good general knowledge of society
  • Pedagogical skills
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience in providing service
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Experience in guardianship activities or other public administration is an advantage.
