Do you want to lead the work on Mölndal's long-term development? We are now looking for a committed and driven Forest and Wildlife Manager within Land and Exploitation. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to sustainable urban planning, collaborate with politics and organizations, and help build tomorrow's Mölndal.

About the Land and Exploitation Unit
As part of the Gothenburg region, the city of Mölndal is in an exciting and expansive phase. This leads to a high demand for developable land and sustainable planning. The Urban Development Administration's Land and Exploitation Unit is responsible for the city's property ownership, contract negotiations, plan implementation, and the city's exploitation budget.

Job Responsibilities
We are now seeking a coordinator for the city's forest and wildlife management, a key person who wants to help develop our work in managing and caring for the city's forest and wildlife resources in a long-term and sustainable manner.

As a coordinator, you have a central role in keeping the city's forest and wildlife issues together. You lead and coordinate the work with our contracted forest managers and municipal hunters, and act as the city's representative and expert in matters concerning forests, wildlife, and land use. You ensure that the city's goals are followed, prioritize efforts, and drive the work forward together with our consultants and partners.

You are responsible for monitoring revenues and costs related to forest and wildlife management, ensuring that our decisions are based on both economic and ecological considerations. The assignment includes managing and establishing hunting rights agreements with responsibility for renewals, terminations, fees, and follow-up. You will also actively work with our hunting teams, update old agreements, and contribute to creating a modern and legally secure hunting management.

The work involves daily contact with residents, landowners, forest managers, municipal hunters, contractors, and other community actors. The issues are often complex and of great importance to residents' safety, especially related to the growing wild boar problem. Wildlife observations, dialogue with residents, and strategic work to reduce disturbances and risks are recurring elements in your daily life.

You collaborate closely with other functions within the unit and administration, as well as with other administrations such as the City Service Administration, which is responsible for maintaining riding tracks, paths, and recreational areas, and you participate in joint development issues where forests and wildlife are concerned. The role is social, outgoing, and requires both sensitivity and confidence in representing the city in sometimes challenging conversations.

With us, you will have a varied and meaningful job where nature conservation, law, social issues, and resident contacts meet in a unique combination. No day is like the other, and you truly contribute to creating a sustainable and safe living environment for both people and animals.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with solid experience in forest and wildlife management, preferably from municipal, state, or private operations. You have a post-secondary education in, for example, forestry science, forest planning, or from the hunting master program, or you have built up equivalent competence through relevant work experience. To succeed in the role, we would like you to have a hunting license.

You have very good knowledge of forestry, wildlife management, and related regulations and feel confident in applying them in practice. Experience in handling different types of lease agreements, preferably hunting rights agreements, is an advantage.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. The role requires independence, structure, and the ability to drive the work forward on your own. You are communicative, confident, and used to handling issues that sometimes evoke strong emotions, and you dare to have discussions when necessary. You thrive in an outgoing role with many contact surfaces and feel comfortable in meetings with everyone from residents to authorities and hunting teams.

You are solution-oriented, unpretentious, and easily adaptable to changing situations and assignments. A professional demeanor and a legally secure working method are essential parts of your daily life. A B driver's license is a requirement.
