Description

The Street and Park Department is responsible for the outdoor environments of Skara and Götene.

About 50 employees work in the department, led by a department manager and three unit managers. We are now looking for a number of seasonal employees who want to strengthen our team during the period of March-September or April-October. If you want a varied outdoor job during the day that involves creating service for residents and visitors, you are welcome to apply!

Job Responsibilities

The main tasks include the operation and maintenance of the streets, parks, natural areas, and other public spaces in Skara and Götene municipalities, as well as the care of outdoor environments in schoolyards, preschools, and other properties. All tasks within the park unit such as tree care, park cleaning, maintenance of outdoor environments, exercise tracks, hiking trails, forests, etc. Time reporting and task management in the municipality's operational system via mobile phone and tablet are part of the daily work. Tractor driving and vehicle operation are included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with at least a high school level education in gardening or equivalent experience deemed suitable by the employer. To succeed in this position, you need to be flexible, self-driven, and proactive. In your role, you will be the face of the administration and meet many of our citizens, so you also need to be communicative and service-oriented. A valid B driver's license is required, and having a BE driver's license is an advantage.

If you also have a Brush Cutter certificate or Chainsaw certificate, that is a merit.

Conditions

Seasonal employment according to agreement. Selection and appointment may occur during the application period.
