Park Worker Wanted in Vänersborg Municipality

The park is an important part of urban development.

We manage and develop the city's parks, playgrounds, natural areas, lakes, and waterways. On behalf of other administrations/units, we also perform ground maintenance, green care, winter road maintenance, maintenance, and new construction of land facilities. The Street Unit is responsible for the municipality's streets and roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, playgrounds, and public places, maintenance of municipal swimming areas, forests, agricultural land and water, nature conservation and nature-related outdoor life, as well as traffic and parking issues. We also handle matters concerning our ports and boat places, squares, and flagging.

Job Responsibilities

We need reinforcement during our most intensive months. We are looking for park workers who can perform various tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and maintaining flower beds, manual cleaning, and tree care.

Qualifications

Additional qualifications include horticultural education or education deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience with machinery and a chainsaw license are advantageous.

A B driver's license is required.

Conditions

The positions involve daytime work from Monday to Friday. The seasonal work is limited to the period from April to September 2026.

Before employment as a park worker, a background check is required according to the Education Act (2010:800).
