About Us

The geriatric section is part of the medical clinic, which is the largest clinic in the county, and we have the advantages of both breadth and specialization of a medium-sized hospital. The operations consist of geriatrics, general internal medicine including emergency care in the emergency department and acute care unit (AVA), nephrology, cardiology, endocrinology, hematology, gastroenterology, palliative care and SSIH, neurology, and stroke.

The geriatric section has a well-functioning inpatient care and a well-renowned outpatient clinic focused on cognitive medicine. The goal is to develop geriatric care with a mobile team, an expansion of acute geriatric care beds, and to receive general geriatric outpatient patients.

We work in a team-based manner, and in our team, we have nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers, neuropsychologists, and doctors. The work environment is pleasant in bright, newly renovated premises. The department is Silvia certified, which is evident in the daily nursing work. We in the medical team in geriatrics enjoy working together, helping each other, and utilizing each other's different skills.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of specialist physician in geriatrics, you will have extensive clinical responsibility for patients with complex medical needs. You will work closely with other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to care, from diagnostics and treatment to rehabilitation and preventive measures. Varied work with outpatient activities and regular departmental work.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a specialist in geriatrics. We consider it an advantage if you have a broad internal medicine knowledge in your background.

We would also like you to have a natural ability to communicate and create security for your patients.

As a person, you are empathetic, secure, and stable with a good ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You are confident in your knowledge and skills, dare to make your own decisions, and take responsibility for your tasks. Since the work involves a lot of collaboration with other colleagues, we see that you have an easy time working well with others. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
