About Us

Would you like to work as a district doctor at a health center with stable medical staffing? Health Center Mariefred is a well-established regional health center with nearly 11,000 registered patients, located in charming Mariefred. We have about 45 employees who collaborate to provide our patients with good care, focusing on the patient's best interests. Here, you will find a medical clinic, nursing clinic, child health care, and rehabilitation including psychosocial services under one roof. The medical team currently consists of seven specialist doctors in general medicine, one internist who is to become a double specialist, and four additional resident doctors. We also continuously have two assistant doctors placed with us. All patients have a designated, named specialist doctor or resident doctor. As a specialist doctor, you have a limited assignment with currently a maximum of 1500 registered residents.

Our mission includes responsibility for special housing, home care, and child health care, so there is room for side assignments depending on your area of interest. With us, you will have a varied job where you meet patients of all ages, with different backgrounds and varying needs. The health center has multiprofessional teams around all patients, and since we are located further from hospitals, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of medical issues.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the patients registered with you and thus have a defined assignment. We share a common responsibility for our acute flow and our own planned reception daily. You naturally collaborate with other professionals at the health center and also act as a supervisor for resident/assistant doctors. You are part of a medical group that together develops primary care with a focus on quality, continuity, accessibility, and attractiveness.

Some on-call and standby duty at the primary care emergency in Strängnäs is included.

Your Qualifications

• You are a licensed physician and a specialist in general medicine or a physician with Swedish authorization after assistant training, who has decided to pursue your specialist training in general medicine.
• Enjoy working independently with varied tasks.
• Have good collaboration skills and flexibility.
• You have experience working in a health center and are interested in development.
• Driving license B

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Permanent employment, full-time or part-time, with start date according to agreement.
