About Us

The habilitation service is a specialist resource within Region Sörmland based on specific knowledge of permanent disabilities and their consequences in everyday life. We complement the rest of the healthcare system. Our mission involves assessing and providing habilitative interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, and multiple disabilities. We work in multidisciplinary teams divided into child, youth, and adult teams. Habilitation clinics are located in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm.

We are currently recruiting a psychologist for the clinic in Eskilstuna, focusing on children/adolescents, located in bright facilities close to recreational areas. We are a workplace with a positive atmosphere! If you are interested in habilitation, we welcome you to apply for the position!

Your Responsibilities

The work is diverse, focusing on psychoeducational interventions and qualified psychological assessments. Counseling and support for relatives, neuropsychological assessments, applied behavior analysis, consultation with networks, and collaboration with psychiatry are also part of the psychologist's responsibilities. The assignment includes neuropsychiatric assessments and cognitive assessments.

You will work in a team together with special educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, and nurses. We collaborate closely with other clinics. As a psychologist with us, you will receive continuous external professional supervision as well as internal training and guidance. There are good opportunities for professional development, and we encourage our psychologists to pursue specialist training with relevant focus. Within the region, there are both PTP and STP study directors to support psychologists' career development. The psychologist group meets regularly at cross-county professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues. The organization is positive towards method development and employee contributions to operational improvements.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with knowledge and interest in neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry, and the psychology of disabilities. Experience in assessments is an advantage. Experience working with habilitation target groups and interest in method development is desirable. The ability to work in a team as well as the ability to work independently is required. Personal qualities are highly valued.

Employment Type

Permanent employment on a full-time basis or as agreed. Start date as agreed.
