About us

The operating department and sterile technical unit at Nyköping Hospital operate in new state-of-the-art facilities that promote a good working environment and enable efficient flows. Surgical operations are conducted around the clock, and approximately 5,000 surgeries are performed annually in surgery/urology, orthopedics, gynecology/obstetrics, and ear-nose-throat (ENT) as well as emergency surgery.

In our business development, we place great emphasis on creating efficient patient flows where leadership and employee participation are central parts. We strive to work process-oriented, smart, develop our skills, and also have fun!

All employees have individual schedules.

Your tasks

In your role, you will be responsible for your specific tasks together with other colleagues in the surgical operations. Together we perform emergency and planned surgeries around the clock, where you are part of the surgical team. Handling and maintenance of sterile surgical materials and instruments are included in your tasks. Developing, renewing, and improving is important to us, and therefore we expect it to be important to you as well.

Your qualifications

You are a trained nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care. In addition to your grades as a nursing assistant, you need a certificate of your professional qualification as a nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and the ability to work within different teams. We also wish that you, just like us, value a job characterized by personal responsibility, participation, trust, and cooperation between colleagues and the immediate supervisor. To succeed in the role, we also see that you are attentive, unpretentious, humble, and secure in yourself. Previous experience in surgical nursing and sterile technical operations is an advantage.

Employment form

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. We offer full-time or part-time positions as well as the possibility of rotation service.
