We are looking for three nursing assistants or specialist nursing assistants to Skogsgläntan.

Skogsgläntan care and nursing home is located in Stora Sundby, thirty kilometers west of Eskilstuna. Here there are 22 apartments distributed across two units in a beautiful and nature-close environment. Person-centered care is the focus of the residence, and eleven of the places are aimed at individuals with dementia.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant with us, you will work with standard care assignments based on each resident's individual needs and conditions. You provide support and service in their daily lives to create a meaningful, safe, and active everyday life. The role includes delegated tasks within health care, documentation, and the establishment of action plans. As a contact person, you are responsible for following up and coordinating efforts for a number of residents, focusing on participation and individualized care. We also offer advocacy roles for those interested.

If you are a trained specialist nursing assistant, you will of course have an expanded assignment in dialogue with the unit manager. Everything to make the best use of your skills.

You will primarily work with residents with dementia in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and has a B driver's license and access to a personal vehicle. If you are applying for a position as a specialist nursing assistant, we want you to have completed or ongoing training for specialist nursing assistants. You have basic computer skills, preferably with experience in documentation systems.

It is a great advantage if you have:

• Experience working in elderly care
• Experience working in health and social care
• Knowledge of quality registers (for example, BPSD or Senior Alert)
• Experience working with individuals who have dementia and/or multiple illnesses.

As a person, you are flexible and solution-focused. You have a positive outlook and an ability to see the big picture. Providing service, collaborating, and building good relationships is easy for you, whether it's with colleagues, residents, or relatives.

To be considered for the position, you need to present proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You can order it on their website. If you are already permanently employed by Eskilstuna municipality, we need to receive a certificate of employment that shows title, employment form, and duration of employment, confirming that you are covered by the transition rules for permanently employed staff as of July 1, 2023.
