As a software developer in this role, you will work with advanced real-time critical systems in an environment where performance, robustness, and accuracy are crucial. You will develop application-level software in a Linux environment, close to hardware-related subsystems, without going down to classical embedded or processor level.

You will be part of an experienced team responsible for central functions in larger system solutions and work across the entire chain – from requirement interpretation and technical design to implementation, further development, and management of an established platform. The development includes both new functionality and further development related to customer-specific orders, where complex algorithms, real-time requirements, and long-term code quality are in focus. You will take responsibility for entire work packages, make well-founded technical choices, use design patterns, and structure code for testability and maintainability, while closely collaborating with product owners, developers, and test and integration engineers, contributing technical expertise in matters related to solutions, architecture, and performance optimization. In some assignments, there is also the opportunity to follow the functions all the way to acceptance testing on-site at the client.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience in software development in complex, preferably system-related environments

• Experience working with design patterns and architecture as well as writing structured, testable code with long lifespans

• Good understanding of real-time requirements and larger technical system solutions

• Very good knowledge of Java or another high-level language such as C#, C++ or Python, as well as the willingness and ability to work in Ada

• Relevant engineering or computer science education from a university or college

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

Experience in Ada development, signal processing, control engineering, or work in environments with high demands for real-time and reliability is meritorious. Experience from Linux-based systems, working closely with hardware-related subsystems, and algorithm development is also valuable, as well as experience from agile teams and larger, long-lived codebases.

As a person, you are used to taking responsibility for your solutions from idea to delivery and driving technical issues forward when something needs to change or improve. You work in a structured manner, analyze problems carefully, and are confident in making decisions even in complex systems. You are also accustomed to collaborating with other developers, test and integration engineers, and sharing your experience in a way that makes it easy for others to follow along.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary

Scope: Full-time, permanent
