Engineer in ILS (Integrated Logistic Support)

We are currently looking for an engineer in the area of ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) in Linköping and Norrköping for exciting and varied assignments in sectors such as defense, industry, and infrastructure. Your role as an ILS engineer

The ILS unit works with areas such as design-influencing ILS, operation and maintenance analyses on complex systems primarily within the defense industry, modeling and sizing of support solutions, ILS/LSA management (LSA-Logistic Support Analysis). We contribute to increased availability and efficiency of systems and products, improved maintainability, and reduced LCC (Life Cycle Cost) during the lifecycle of the system or product. Your upcoming tasks may be in areas such as LSA, predictions, and spare parts sizing, but the entire ILS area is open for future challenges.

We apply established standards, well-proven analysis methods, and have access to several established support systems and tools used in the industry.

You will be part of a wonderful team with diverse backgrounds where knowledge sharing is a natural part of everyday life. You will have the opportunity to discuss complex questions and problems with experienced colleagues, as well as to act as a mentor for the more junior staff. The work involves close collaboration with different disciplines in your project where you will have the opportunity to develop your insights and broaden your competence in several areas. Travel may occur in the position.

ILS is an internationally established management strategy

ILS is an internationally established management strategy primarily used in the defense sector but also in the civilian industry where it is commonly referred to as RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Supportability/Safety). In short, the strategy means that maintenance and operation are considered already during the system's development and then throughout its entire lifespan to ensure a balance over time between cost, quality, and technical function of the system.

We are looking for someone with a university degree in a relevant field; if you have worked for a few years, experience in the industry, and project management, that is certainly an advantage. If you are new to the ILS area, you will be well introduced by experienced colleagues who will be there to support you, and you will participate in training on the processes and methods used.

Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement for the position.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of or experience with: project management, support tools such as Opus and WQS (Relex), experience in maintenance preparation, ILS planning, LORA, FMEA and FMECA, operational reliability, spare parts optimization, Life Cycle Management, FRACAS, RBD etc., as well as standards within ILS/RAMS such as the ASD suite, MIL-STD-1388, DEF STAN 00-60(0).

As the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
