Your Role

Armament is an area within the Aeronautics business unit responsible for the integration and verification of existing and future weapons and external loads. The main focus in the coming years is to integrate weapons and loads on the new version of Gripen (E/F).

The work is project-based, and as a project manager, you will have a coordinating and driving role across many technical areas throughout the integration process, both within the company and towards suppliers. You will have numerous interfaces with the aircraft's other subsystems and technical areas, such as flight technology, structural analysis, design, and procurement.

The role provides a holistic perspective where you are involved in the entire chain of development; from early definition phases through requirements setting, design, and system safety work to verification in flight simulators, rigs, and finally support during flight tests.

Your Profile

We are looking for a driven and structured project manager with an eye for detail and the ability to see the big picture. You thrive in a dynamic and international environment where collaboration, communication, and quality are central.

We believe you have a civil or higher engineering degree or equivalent work experience, as well as experience in successful project management, preferably within a technical or aerospace industry environment.

Communication is central to this role, and therefore we believe you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to clearly convey project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels. For the role, you also need to have good problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks.

You have an excellent ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and team members. The success of our projects is based on well-functioning teams where each member's contribution is invaluable.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
