Your tasks

We are now looking for new colleagues at Vallastaden nursing home who want to be part of our wonderful team. The positions are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts with a full-time employment rate of 100%.

With us, you will work to meet the individual needs of our customers. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece in creating a meaningful everyday life for our customers. In the position of nursing assistant, care tasks are included, which involve, for example, assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions.

We work based on IBIC (individual needs in focus) and with the individual's best interests in mind. Our work is based on national values and a salutogenic approach, where we promote health and highlight the individual's own abilities.

In this position, you will have the opportunity for development in your role as you will be assigned a contact responsibility for a number of customers. This means that you participate in welcome conversations where you, together with the customer, plan support measures. You are responsible for the customer's implementation plan and document in the system Treserva. The role also includes maintaining close contact with relatives and other partners.

Your workplace

The Health and Care Administration provides elderly care in municipal management in Linköping. Here, there are about 1200 permanent employees and a large number of substitutes. Linköping municipality has a long and well-established experience in care and support for our elderly residents.

Vallastaden nursing home is located in the new district of Vallastaden on Lärdomsgatan. It is a residence for people with dementia. The building has a total of 60 apartments spread over three floors. There is also a spa and a light therapy room. Our guests have access to a beautiful outdoor environment, including a greenhouse that can be used year-round. In our inner courtyard, there is a pleasant forest environment with a walking path where one can take the opportunity to balance train at the various stations around the path.

You who are applying

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and have previous experience of work or internship in support, care, and assistance. If you have previous experience working with people with dementia, we see it as a positive. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of salutogenic approaches, low-arousal responses, and experience with the IBIC method.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate verbally and in writing in the Swedish language. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is an advantage if you have experience documenting in journal systems.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations.
